Water Softening Systems

Whether you are on city water or you have your own water well system, the water in our service area is considered “hard”. Water Softening systems are designed to remove calcium, lime and magnesium from your water and eliminate “hardness”. Most systems use salt and ion exchange resins. When the calcium and magnesium are removed, they are replaced by sodium ions. A water softening system will effectively protect your homes plumbing systems from scaling and calcium build-up. It will not eliminate other water problems such as water chlorination, iron build-up, sulfur, sediments, and bacterial contamination. For that you will need a water filtration system. The size of the home and how many people the system will serve dictates the scope of the system. All of our Fleck 5600 systems come with a 3 year warranty and can be rebuilt and re-bed when the resin eventually wears out.
